The Farm-to-Plate Initiative by VILLAVI Group (Villa Shanti, La Villa, The Spot, La Manufacture) strengthens short supply chains between farmers and restaurants, promoting sustainable gastronomy and food innovation. This collaborative effort under Indo-French cooperation focuses on ecological farming models promoting terroir products and local food systems across India. The initiative reflects the commitment of the hotel group to give preference to products representing the rich terroir of different Indian regions while simultaneously strengthening local food systems (LFS) by supporting and sourcing from local producers in and around Puducherry. The project combines French culinary expertise with Indian agricultural traditions to create a sustainable and innovative food ecosystem.
