Dassault signs deal with Bengaluru firm for supply of critical components for Rafale jets

French aerospace major Dassault Aviation has signed a long-term contract with Bengaluru-based aerospace manufacturer Hical Technologies to supply critical components for the control systems of the Dassault Rafale fighter aircraft. The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening Indo-French defence and aerospace collaboration and highlights India’s growing role in the global defence manufacturing supply chain.Under the deal, the Bengaluru firm will manufacture mission-critical products used in Rafale fighter jet control systems, meeting the stringent engineering, reliability, and qualification standards set by Dassault Aviation.
The partnership is seen as a boost to India’s “Make in India” defence manufacturing initiative, enabling greater participation of Indian companies in advanced aerospace programmes while strengthening technological cooperation between India and France.
Industry experts note that the agreement further integrates Indian private-sector firms into the global supply chain of one of the world’s most advanced multi-role combat aircraft platforms, reinforcing India’s capabilities in high-precision aerospace manufacturing.
