Description
In a move to expand its global academic footprint, Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Southern Brittany, France, paving the way for structured academic and scientific collaboration over the next three years.

The agreement was signed on Mar 4, by R Thirumurugan, registrar of CUTN, and professor David Menier, president of the French university, in the presence of vice-chancellor M Krishnan.

The MoU lays out a comprehensive framework for cooperation, including joint research projects, collaborative publications and academic exchanges. A key focus of the partnership is the exchange of faculty members and students, aimed at providing international exposure and strengthening research capabilities.

The collaboration will also facilitate the conduct of international conferences, workshops and training programmes, besides promoting systematic sharing of academic resources between the two institutions. Vice-chancellor Krishnan said the partnership would foster the exchange of ideas and global perspectives, adding that such collaborations are vital for advancing scientific research and sustaining academic excellence. Prof Menier noted that the agreement reflects a shared commitment to enhancing research mobility between India and France.
